Summer Programmes

LCM offers exciting summer programmes which provide accommodation, meals and training for a minimum donation of £100 a week. Follow the links to see if you are up for the challenge.

Capital Kids

Capital runs training events and Fun Days throughout the year, working with churches and LCM Centres inside the M25. For those who have a heart for children’s ministry, then this is a great way to contribute to the long term ministries at LCM and gain some valuable training. To find out more about the programme along with ways you can serve then click here.

Tell-a-Tourist

London is a major landmark on the world map of most tourists - this creates a great opportunity to tell the world about Jesus. Tell-a-Tourist is a week long summer programme devoted to open air evangelism throughout the capital where you’re able to engage with people from all over the world. This is especially important because many people come from areas where there is no gospel ministry. Click here to find out more.

Cafe Forever 'Summer Project'

Cafe Forever runs  the 'Summer Project' in a local park for 3 weeks in August that features activities for all ages throughout the week. The project successfully reaches hundreds of people and connects them to the long term work going on throughout the year at Cafe Forever.  You have the opportunity to either bring a team to work for a week or come as a volunteer for up to three weeks. Click here to find out more.

The programme runs for 3 weeks from 2 - 20 August and we advise applicants to come for a minimum of two weeks. Bed and Breakfast is provided at a cost of £100 per week at the London City Mission Hostel next door to our head office, and travel and other meal costs will be covered by the programme leader Marlene Botha.

Closing date for applications: Thursday 31 May 2010
