City Vision - Short term
This option allows you to come on a placement from 1 to 9 months,
which is flexible throughout the year.

LCM offers placements from 1-9 months for those desiring experience in Urban Mission and Evangelism. We provide accommodation at either Nasmith Court where we house our gap year team or at LCM’s Hostel near Tower Bridge. For those staying at Nasmith Court, you’ll work and live alongside those who are serving on the gap year.
This option is ideal for those who can’t take a full year out due to education or other commitments. Others considering gap year opportunities may want to combine service with LCM with another gap year programme. However, coming for a whole year will give you the opportunity to experience some of the benefits and fruits that come with longer term ministry.
Generally, if you decide to apply for this option you’ll need to submit your application at least 4 months in advance of your preferred start date in order to process your application, and obtain a Criminal Records Check along with verifying references. You will also be required to raise a minimum level of support which will need to be agreed with the Short Term Placements Manager and paid to London City Mission before you commence the placement. This donation is towards the costs of your accommodation, meals and travel expenses whilst at work in London. The donation is totally separate to any spending money or travel costs to and from London. |
