Brother Mann was born into a devout Sikh family in India. His family raised him to be a “granthi” within the Sikh faith.
A granthi holds the privileged position of being the reciters of the Sikh holy book, the “Guru Granth Sahib.” In 1997, he became a disciple of Jesus Christ. At the age of 20, he committed his life for God’s service.
He worked in teaching, training, and translation before serving on his first church-plant in India in 2015. Now God called him to London in 2022 to work as an LCM team leader in Hounslow.
“I am passionate about sharing the heart-transforming love and message of our Lord Jesus with our Sikh friends so that they have an opportunity to become his disciples,” says Brother Mann.
He supports churches to share the good news of Jesus Christ with Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims here in London. He works to help build bridges between Christians and Sikhs for better mutual understanding through conversations, ranging from public seminars to one-to-one dialogues.
He also supports followers of Jesus from Sikh background, helping them to stand firm in their faith. He is also developing various training courses and gospel tracts to engage people from Sikh and Hindu backgrounds.
London is home to the largest Sikh community in the UK, with about 300,000 people who follow that religion. They are not only less likely to hear the life-changing truth about Jesus, but also have barriers to believing Jesus is the only way.
“My heart is to see a movement among the West London churches where followers of Christ will be able to share God’s love and God’s message with their Sikh friends by being everyday witnesses of Jesus among them. We need to be salt and light wherever God has placed us. Every person, including every Sikh, deserves an opportunity to begin a journey towards discipleship in Jesus.”
Brother Mann lives in London with his wife.
