Daada was born and raised in Liberia and became Christian at the age of 17. And in 1984, he began serving through personal evangelism, pastoral work, and leading evangelistic workshops for local pastors and Christians.
In 1990, Daada left Liberia due to the civil war for neighbouring Guinea and began serving as pastor in a small church. The following year, he came to the UK via Belfast as a refugee.
He has always seen God’s beauty reflected in the diversity of people. And he believes this is what led him to London City Mission in 1996 – to serve London’s diverse community with the gospel.
“My heart is to see more mission-minded churches in London – churches that understand their unique opportunity to be an agent of change. I want churches to learn from each other and grow stronger as local congregations preach the gospel and bless their neighbourhoods.”
Daada is missionary Team Leader in South Islington, where he equips local churches to reach out with the love of Christ and serve their communities. He specialises in reaching people whose heritage or origin is from elsewhere in the globe, and helping churches reach out to cultures different than their own.
Islington is often seen as a bright, lively, and wealthy area. However, there are many lonely and voiceless people. It has one of the highest percentages of people on unemployment benefits in the city – almost double London’s average.
"As people from diaspora communities come to faith in Jesus, the impact will ripple throughout London, to the ends of the earth."
Daada is married to Naomi, a midwife from Northern Ireland, and they share four children. In his free time, he loves cycling, visiting parks, spending time with his family, and reading God’s word together.
Outside of LCM, Daada visits Liberia to lead workshops in Trauma Healing and assists in healthcare and agriculture to serve the local church community.
