Daniel became a Christian while at a summer youth camp, and one of his first memories of the Mission was when an LCM Missionary took a school assembly.
“Looking back at my life since becoming a follower of Jesus I can see various encounters that began to stir my heart for the homeless and especially those caught in addiction. One of which was a weekly Bible study ran by my church at a Christian Rehab House. It was such a blessing to be a part of that ministry, seeing Jesus save and change broken men.”
Fast forward to 2019, and Daniel was called to church leadership and become pastor at his church in north London. He was looking for a job alongside his responsibilities as pastor, when he came across an opportunity at Webber Street Day Centre. After three years ministering to people experiencing homelessness, he moved upstairs to serve at The Cornerhouse.
“My desire is to see people set free and transformed by the good news of Jesus Christ.”
The Cornerhouse offers short-term supported accommodation for up to six months to help men turn the corner from rough sleeping. Daniel helps guests take practical steps out of homelessness, whilst sharing the good news of Jesus. Daily meals and weekly Bible studies are authentically tied with sharing lives together and sharing the hope of Jesus’s life and restoration in the gospel.
“The need in London is great. No story or situation is ever the same: addiction, rough sleeping, broken relationships, unemployment, abuse, self-harm, mental health, seeking asylum, criminal activity - but above all these, their greatest need, as is ours, is to be forgiven of their sin and reconciled to God.”
“My vision is to see more and more men and women who are experiencing homelessness to encounter the good news of Jesus and be rescued from life on the streets.”
Daniel shares life with his amazing wife Lois and their little boy Solomon. He has a passion for music and plays numerous instruments, with the main one being the drums. He also enjoys cinema, football, and reading a good theological book.
