Isabella Dias

Missionary in Newham and Waltham Forest

"My desire is to witness God being glorified in the lives of those who do not yet know him.”

Isabella grew up in a Christian home in Brazil and made her faith her own during her teenage years. Since then, she has always dreamed of becoming a missionary, with a deep desire to share the gospel with those who don’t know Jesus. During her time at university, she was actively involved in evangelism and also served with a Brazilian mission agency before moving to London and joining LCM.

It’s an amazing responsibility and blessing we have to reach out to people, and London is a multicultural mission field. The world is on our doorstep. At every corner, there’s someone from a different culture or religion. We have the unique privilege of sharing the Gospel with people from all nations, as the Great Commission calls us to do!”

Isabella now works as a Missionary in Newham, specialising in Children, Youth, Schools, and Diaspora Communities. She is seeking to equip and inspire everyday Christians in local churches to lovingly bring a message of hope in Christ to those least likely to hear it. This involves supporting churches in running youth clubs, English classes, Warm Spaces, and training new volunteers. She also helps connect churches with their diverse communities and nearby refugee centres to host activities and share the good news of Jesus.

Newham is one of the most diverse boroughs in London. With a recent influx of people who have fled their homes to come to the UK, the area is now home to many who lack basic essentials, and more importantly, they lack eternal hope and peace.”

That’s why we’re working alongside churches with a heart for unreached people, to welcome those who are displaced and share the life-changing news of Jesus with them. My desire is to witness God being glorified in the lives of those who do not yet know Him.”

Isabella and her husband, Victor, moved from Brazil to London in the summer of 2022. In their free time, they love watching films and TV series and enjoy having friends over to share some Brazilian food.
