Kay's journey to becoming a Missionary Team Leader in east London is a testament to God's transformative power. With a diverse background growing up and working in Asia, Africa, the US, and Europe, Kay found her true roots in the unconditional love of God found in Christ Jesus. Despite passing through different continents, Kay's journey led her to a deep conviction to serve with London City Mission, particularly in reaching people of other faiths in the city's most deprived boroughs.

Kay says, "My heart is for the Church to be so inspired by Jesus' redemptive love for us that each member joyfully reaches out to their local communities, reflecting Christ's love in the everyday."

As a Missionary Team Leader in east London, Kay works with a dedicated team of missionaries. Together, they serve alongside churches in building ministries that reach people of diverse faith backgrounds. Their mission is not only to share the gospel but also to train and encourage church members in reaching those in their communities least likely to hear the good news of Jesus.

Kay continues, “It is such a blessing to train and serve alongside church teams: at book tables; running drop-in sessions; teaching English; visiting homes; reaching out to refugees... We see church members steadily gaining in confidence as they share the gospel in word and deed. We want to see every church and every member shine ever brighter – a beautiful beacon of hope as they faithfully hold out the Word of Truth, even in some very dark places.”

East London faces significant challenges, including high levels of deprivation. Kay and her team are committed to shining the light of Christ – bringing hope and truth to those who need it most.

Apart from her missionary work, Kay travels to Wales whenever she can, where she enjoys long walks along the beautiful coastline with her family, embracing the beauty of nature in all its seasons.
