Rebecca comes from a small village in the north of Italy. Despite the ups and downs of her youth, her Christian parents led her to Christ in 2013.
In 2017 God brought her to London where she studied and worked, until graduating from university in 2022. Passionate for serving in God’s mission, she completed some theology training courses that taught her about God’s plan for creation and for our lives, and how Jesus is the answer to all our questions. Her longing to share that with others grew which then led her to apply for her current missionary role.
“I am eager to see a Christian revival among the churches around the world and especially in London where people from different cultures and backgrounds like me come together to worship God. I believe that sharing the gospel with our future generations will bring us one step closer to reach that goal.”
Rebecca now works as a missionary in Hackney with a focus on reaching out to children, youth and schools. She is seeking to equip and inspire everyday Christians in local churches to lovingly bring a message of hope in Christ to those least likely to hear it.
“Being a missionary in Hackney looks like working in a culturally rich and diverse environment with people from many different nationalities and economic backgrounds. There are youngers battling with their identity, hostels housing people who are displaced with nowhere to go, and many communities seeking hope in Islam, and other religions apart from Christ.”
“My vision for Hackney is to bring hope to those on the margins. I want to see them welcomed into loving church communities and find rest in God’s assuring peace and love, finding true hope and belonging in Christ.”
Rebecca lives with her family and two dogs in Stratford and likes to spend her free time travelling, playing sport and dancing.
