Finding Purpose on the Margins

God has a heart for those who are overlooked and on the margins of society - people who are homeless, struggling with addictions, displaced or in prisons.

So often we can focus so much on meeting practical needs that we miss the opportunities to connect, equip and empower people we serve in all aspects of their lives.

Join us to explore how we can follow Jesus’ example and lovingly serve people on the margins...

  • How do we empower and give hope to those on the streets?
  • How do we keep our purpose?
  • How can my church love and support someone knowing there isn't always a happy ending?

The conference will be a mixture of talks, interviews, and seminars, so there will be something for everyone!

Lunch is included as part of the day, we really hope you can join us.

Luke Carson

Team Leader for Prisons & Resettlement

Luke is the Team Leader for Prisons & Resettlement.

"What excites me most about this ministry is seeing men meet Jesus and go on to share their faith with other prisoners or those who have a similar story".

One of his goals is to get churches into prisons and to get people leaving prison into churches.

Pancho Miller

Project Leader for Corner House

Pancho was born in Peru, where he saw the effects of inequality and poverty from an early age.

He works as LCM’s Ministry Leader at Corner House where he leads a team of staff and volunteers, seeking to equip and inspire everyday Christians to share the hope of Christ. Together, they work to befriend residents in recovery and to turn the corner on homelessness and past trauma.

Olly Sherwood

Missionary for Prisons & Resettlement

Olly is part of LCM's prison ministry sharing the gospel with many who feel that there is no hope.

“Prison is a very dark place where we can shine brightly for Jesus. My vision is to see the church in prisons and the prisoners in church."

Olly became a missionary to fully commit his time to sharing the gospel.

"God so graciously reached out to me through people sharing the Gospel with me. I wanted to become a missionary so that I could give myself full-time to do the same for others by sharing the Good News of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

Ruth McBryan

The Message, Prisons Resettlement Outreach Manager

Ruth is passionate about seeing the best in people and supporting them to develop their potential.

She manages The Message’s Prisons Outreach Team across London, and is now at the forefront of developing a new programme for prison leavers.

Nicky Tallintire

GrowTH, Housing Manager

Nicky has more than 10 years of experience in working with vulnerable and marginalised people; primarily people facing homelessness.

He also works with people struggling with drug addiction both in the UK and as an overseas Missionary.
