Many of us long to share the precious, life-saving hope that we have with people around us. It can be difficult to know where to start, especially in communities unlikely to have experience of church. Sadly, many people assume that church isn’t for them.

We’ve put together a short, practical guide to building bridges into your local community – showing you simple, but intentional steps that you and your church can take. It draws on the experiences of our missionaries, including Kevin Croft, who specialises in helping churches make gospel connections with people living on council estates.

It includes Kev’s ‘chilli scale’, to help you think about the different levels of interaction you might want to build up to with people in your community, and think about how you can bring Jesus into the conversation. We hope this will be a brilliant starting-off point for sharing your lives and the life-changing news of Jesus with people around you.
